Death Game Mode란?

Echoes of Aincrad optional hardcore ruleset — Sword Art Online real stakes Aincrad 재현. 이 mode play 시 death=해당 save 영구 삭제, 복구 불가. respawn, checkpoint rewind, 동일 slot 재도전 없음.

Bandai Namco: any difficulty와 병행 — Standard, Hard 등 Death Game rules ON, enemy stat 별도 변경 없음. 2026년 7월 7일 launch trailer 7/9~10 release 전 highlight, original SAO death-game premise에 가장 근접.

Standard story progression과 별도 save slot logic. demo transfer save 상속 불가. June 2026 demo carry player — fresh file permadeath 또는 standard save story 클리어 후 account-wide unlock.

Death Game Mode Unlock 방법

Standard Edition: main story 1회 클리어(any regular save). credits 후 new save 생성 시 선택. free path — base game 추가 구매 없음.

Deluxe/Ultimate Death Game Mode Early Unlock digital entitlement. install 직후 첫 playthrough부터 Death Game Mode, story 클리어 불필요. Early Unlock 구매 account 연동, family sharing·secondary account platform policy별 미상속.

account unlock(story 또는 Early Unlock) 후 이후 new save(2·3번째 slot) Death Game Mode 선택. 기존 standard save retroactive 적용 불가 — creation 시 mode ON new file.
