Death Game Mode：SAO Hardcore Ruleset
什麼是 Death Game Mode？
Death Game Mode 是 Echoes of Aincrad 可選 hardcore ruleset，重現 Sword Art Online 在 Aincrad 內真實賭注的幻想。此模式下死亡對該存檔永久：角色戰鬥中倒下則存檔刪除且無法恢復。無 respawn、無 checkpoint 回溯、同一 slot 無第二次機會。
Bandai Namco 確認此模式可搭配任何難度——可在 Standard、Hard 等 tuning 啟用 Death Game 規則，無需另改敵人數值。2026 年 7 月 7 日發售預告片在 7 月 9–10 日窗口前強調此功能，稱其最接近原版 SAO death-game premise。
Death Game Mode 與標準主線進度分離，使用獨立存檔 slot 邏輯，無法繼承 demo transfer 存檔。2026 年 6 月試玩 Carry Over 的玩家須開新檔體驗 permadeath，或先在標準存檔通關主線以帳號範圍解鎖。
如何解鎖 Death Game Mode
Standard Edition 玩家須在任一 regular save 通關主線一次。片尾後該平台帳號建立新存檔時可選此模式。這是免費路徑——base game 之外無需額外購買。
Deluxe 與 Ultimate 購買者獲 Death Game Mode Early Unlock 數位 entitlement。此 add-on 讓您安裝後首次 playthrough 即可開始 Death Game Mode，無需先通關主線。Early Unlock 綁定購買 edition 的帳號；family sharing 與 secondary account 依平台政策可能無法繼承。
帳號解鎖 Death Game Mode 後——無論通關或 Early Unlock——之後建立的新存檔（第二、第三或更多 slot）皆可選用。無法 retroactive 套用至既有 standard save；須在建立存檔時啟用。
規則與限制
核心規則簡單：一死刪一檔。Bandai Namco 稱此模擬 SAO premise——遊戲內死亡永久結束該次 run。無 in-game 復活道具或付費 continue。請謹慎規劃消耗品、夥伴選擇與 Boss 準備——Boss Fights walkthrough 與 Stats Priority guide 有助減少可避免死亡。
Demo Save Transfer 明確無法轉為 Death Game Mode 存檔。首次啟動透過 Carry Over 匯入 demo 進度者，該存檔僅在 standard 規則下遊玩。要嘗試 permadeath 請另開新遊戲並啟用 Death Game Mode——該 slot 勿使用 demo 匯入提示。
Proto-Elucidator 等預購武器在 Death Game Mode run 中通常可用，除非未來 patch 為平衡限制。Deluxe 與 Ultimate edition bonus 其餘正常運作。完整 entitlement 清單見 Pre-Order Bonuses。
開始前的策略
將 Death Game Mode 視為 commitment run。Boss 屏障前備妥 healing crystals 與 SP potions——Bandai Namco 官方 Starter Guide 確認 Boss 戰開始後不可撤退。回 Town of Beginnings、前往 smithy，進入 gated encounter 前用 Switch Mode vs Free Mode 確認夥伴 loadout。
Early Unlock 玩家常依賴 Deluxe Starter Pack 消耗品（50,000 Col、High Healing Potions、High SP Potions、Mystic Crystals）。這些有幫助但不消除 permadeath 風險。請用 Growth Point Advisor 刻意分配 Growth Points，勿平均灑點。
若首次啟動拒絕 Death Game Mode 後改變心意，帳號已解鎖時仍可建立啟用此模式的新存檔。無法在既有 standard save mid-run 切換 permadeath。
